How are people being affected?

Dampday Dado (pictured below) is a father of eight. He has brought his 14-month-old malnourished daughter Degnish Dante to the outpatient theraputic care centre.
The child's mother died while breast-feeding her.
What is Concern doing to help?
Concern is currently helping a total of 83,282 people.
There are improvements in some areas because of both food aid distributions and improved rainfall. This has resulted in cleaner water and the prospects of a good harvest have increased.
Concern is responding with:
- Distributing highly nutritious food to malnourished children, pregnant and lactating women
- Supporting the Ministry of Health in providing outpatient therapeutic care
- Providing health services for seriously malnourished children
- Purchasing and distributing seeds
Challenges ahead
Access to remote villages continues to be a challenge for Concern. But the team have still managed to reach an increasing number of villages in the last few weeks with seed distributions.
