Sign up below to register for Concern Fast on Thursday 23rd November!
What is the Concern Fast?
Concern Fast is about giving up food for 24 hours, or choosing your own personal 24-hour challenge, and raising as much money as possible to support our work tackling hunger with the most vulnerable people in the world’s poorest places. The official date of the Fast is Thursday 23rd November, but you can Fast and fundraise whenever suits you.
In just one day you can make a lifetime of difference. And, whatever you raise before December 17th 2017 will be doubled by the UK government meaning that it will have even more impact.
Who can take part in the Concern Fast?
You can take part in the Concern Fast yourself, with your school or in the workplace. Register via the form below.
How much do I need to raise?
There’s no target- just raise as much as you can! Setting up a Justgiving page is a great place to start, or our fundraising team can supply you with a sponsor form to take to your friends and family.
Baby Adut was just 10 months old, and severely acutely malnourished when her mother Aweng brought her to one of Concern’s stabilization centres in South Sudan. Here she was treated for malnutrition and medical complications until she gained weight was well enough to return home. Her mother brings her to the centre once a week so her condition can be monitored, and to pick up supplies. Through the Fast you are giving babies like Adut the treatment and support they need to survive and allow them to develop normally. Thank you.
Can I get my school involved?
You can! We can provide fundraising materials and support if you’d like your school to raise funds through the Concern Fast. Alternatively, post-primary schools are able to sign up to our Fast Youth Ambassador Programme for pupils aged 16-18.
What is the Fast Youth Ambassador Programme for schools?
This is a great opportunity for pupils aged 16-18 with a keen interest in global development. Fast Youth Ambassadors will be trained by Concern staff to represent Concern in their school and community, and given guidance on how to champion their schools fundraising efforts. Pupils will gain valuable voluntary experience to enhance their UCAS application and CV.
