World Water Day

On 22 March each year, we celebrate the important and life-saving role of water on World Water Day.

Everybody needs clean water to live. In many countries, we take water for granted. But, nearly 900 million people around the world do not have access to clean water. One of the Millennium Development Goals is to reduce by half the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water.
