Pakistan - One Year On

9 October 2015

Concern has been working in Pakistan since 2001, when we responded to the influx of Afghan refugees to Balochistan province, on the border with Afghanistan.

Concern built on this work by developing long-term programmes, initially in Balochistan and Punjab, and then in the province of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KPK) following the 2005 earthquake.

Concern provided support to people affected by 2010 floods in every province in Pakistan, as well as those displaced by the conflict in KPK. Through its emergency and early recovery activities following the floods, Concern reached a total of 2,348,245 people.

This publication outlines Concern's response to the floods in Pakistan in July 2010 one year after the disaster.
