Concern leaves Cambodia

After 23 years working in Cambodia, today marks the official closure of Concern Worldwide’s operations there. Concern’s CEO Dominic MacSorley described it as a “proud and poignant moment.”

It is not Concern’s operational model to stay indefinitely in a country or geographical location when evidence and results show we have been successful to the point where the people and its government with whom we have been working are now on a sustainable path which they can build upon themselves or with assistance from domestic organisations.

Our resources and expertise now need to be applied in other countries where they are needed more at this time.
