Concern responds to “unprecedented surge” in refugees into Turkey

Concern Worldwide is responding to what it called the “unprecedented surge” of an estimated 100,000 refugees from Syria into Turkey. 

The agency said it was responding immediately with the delivery of emergency supplies in order to deal with then rapid escalation of the on-going crisis in Syria.

These people have quite literally run for their lives, and have abandoned their homes and livelihoods with no food or possessions. Our staff report seeing the fear in their faces. Sadly, they have dropped everything and ran. They are extremely afraid and vulnerable. Their lives have been shattered.
