Concern Worldwide recognised for accounting excellence

20 November 2015

Concern Worldwide is delighted to announce that, for the sixth consecutive year, it has won its category at the Published Accounts Awards, organised by the Chartered Accountants Leinster Society and sponsored by the Irish Stock Exchange.

Concern has been a finalist in this important annual award since 1988, winning a total of 21 times.

Last night, the agency again took the top prize in the Large Not-for-Profit and Charities category, for the sixth consecutive year.

The Awards, which acknowledge companies who seek excellence in financial reporting in Ireland, were presented at a ceremony last evening in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin, before 350 business professionals.

A total of 25 public and private companies, including not-for-profit organisations and charities, competed as finalists across seven distinct award categories to be rewarded and recognised for achieving excellence in financial reporting.

The CEO of Concern, Dominic MacSorley said:

This is a fantastic achievement. It is testament to our continued commitment to the highest standards of transparency and accountability in all our work. These standards are important to us and play a key part in maintaining the support and trust of our donors.
