Syria

Why are we in Syria? Since 2013, our programmes in Syria have been helping those affected by conflict. We are also supporting Syrian refugees in LebanonTürkiye and Iraq.

Also, following the devastating earthquake that struck Syria on February 6th 2023, Concern Worldwide immediately put an emergency response in place in order to help as many people as possible affected by the disaster.

There are over 11 million people displaced by the war within Syria

5.5 million people have fled the country as refugees and the vast majority are now hosted by Syria’s neighbouring countries of Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt. Inside Syria, there are over 13 million people who are in need of humanitarian assistance, of whom 6.7 million are internally displaced (forced to leave their homes due to violence).
