Gaza Humanitarian Appeal
Conflict in Gaza is devastating lives.
Violence has displaced nearly two million people, leaving them without access to clean and safe water, insufficient food, and collapsing medical care. Children are dying daily from dehydration and preventable disease. Hospital are overwhelmed and sanitation systems have collapsed.
Northern Ireland never stands by in the face of suffering. This time is no different.
The Concern Worldwide Gaza Humanitarian Appeal is rallying communities, businesses, and institutions across Northern Ireland to raise £250,000 in 12 weeks. These funds can help deliver lifesaving access to clean drinking water through water-trucking and provide communities with decent sanitation facilities and essential hygiene items.
This work will support 44,000 people across Gaza.
Our past has shaped a strong sense of empathy - a recognition that civilian lives must never be collateral damage . That is why our communities have always responded with empathy to those caught in crises around the world.
How your donations are helping families in Gaza
Concern is working with our trusted partner, CESVI, to deliver life-saving aid across Gaza. Even in these dire circumstances, our teams are still finding ways to provide support. Through CESVI we have:
- Improved access to drinking water through water-trucking.
- Provided decent sanitation facilities, basic hygiene items, and awareness raising on key-messages on hygienic practices in emergency.
- Sourced life-saving water filtration equipment for use in the last remaining children’s hospital serving Gaza city.
Funds raised in response to this appeal will go towards Concern's and our partner organisation's work in Gaza. For every £1 you donate, we will allocate 10p of your donation to cover general support and running costs. There is a small chance that we will raise more money than is needed for this appeal. If this happens, we'll spend any additional funds on other Concern programmes – wherever the need is greatest.
