Gaza Humanitarian Appeal
Conflict in Gaza is devastating lives.
Violence has displaced nearly two million people, decimated livelihoods, crippled food systems, destroyed crop fields, severely restricted humanitarian operations and resulted in the collapse of health services and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) systems.
In Gaza, people are dying of hunger and disease, as well as injuries caused by the conflict. Food and clean water are desperately scarce with more than 60,000 children estimated to require treatment for acute malnutrition.
The hostilities in Gaza are reported to have caused 52,908 deaths, injured 119,721 people and displaced about two million people (almost the entire population of Gaza).
It is critical that we scale up our emergency response to support those in urgent need of help.
Civilians face the impossible choice between starvation and risking death to access food.
How your donations are helping families in Gaza
Concern is working with our international NGO partner, CESVI to deliver life-saving aid in Gaza. Through CESVI we have:
- Improved access to drinking water through water-trucking.
- Provided decent sanitation facilities, basic hygiene items, and awareness raising on key-messages on hygienic practices in emergency.
- Sourced life-saving water filtration equipment for use in the last remaining children’s hospital serving Gaza city.
Funds raised in response to this appeal will go towards Concern's and our partner organisation's work in Gaza. For every £1 you donate, we will allocate 10p of your donation to cover general support and running costs. There is a small chance that we will raise more money than is needed for this appeal. If this happens, we'll spend any additional funds on other Concern programmes – wherever the need is greatest.
