Webinar: Building climate resilience - saving lives and empowering communities

Man sits near body of water in the Horn of Africa
In this webinar you will:
  • Hear first-hand

Hear first hand from our colleagues working with communities on climate resilience programmes in Somalia and Kenya.

  • Learn about the challenges

Learn about the challenges these countries are facing and how local communities are creating solutions to combat the worst effects like famine and extreme poverty.

  • See the impact

See the impact that international aid can make to communities facing such huge challenges. And the devastating knock-backs when such funding is cut.

According to UNICEF, climate change will result in about 70 million more people being at risk of hunger globally by 2050. So it is absolutely critical that political leaders in countries most responsible for climate change make good on their commitments to halt it.

With a general election just around the corner, we’re calling on political leaders to identify new sources of climate finance to halt the destruction of lives and livelihoods and build communities’ resilience - to help tackle worsening hunger.

Sign-up to this webinar on Wednesday 5 June to learn more and help us put global hunger - and its root causes - back on the political agenda.
