The reality is that there are extraordinary challenges around aid delivery in Gaza and this has had, and continues to have, a devastating impact.
The trusted organisation we are working with in Gaza is dealing with unimaginably harsh conditions and facing significant risks as they carry out their life-saving work. Increased and safe access for humanitarian aid is urgently needed to allow humanitarian aid workers to reach more of those in need.
Right now, even in these dire circumstances, our partners on the ground are still finding ways to provide support. Each day brings new and unexpected challenges, and they are constantly adapting their work to deliver whatever aid they can - as they have done throughout the crisis.
For example, recently we were able to instal a reverse osmosis water filter. The 150 bed Al Rantisis Hospital in Gaza City is providing daily emergency care to up to 350 patients. The reverse osmosis machine is producing 15,000 litres of clean water daily. In addition to supporting the daily needs of the hospital, it is enabling the efficient functioning of 13 kidney dialysis machines.
