Here, in the UK, talk of the cost of living crisis naturally centres on how families are struggling with day-to-day life in this country. However, the cost of living crisis also affects communities living in poorer countries, with an estimated 71 million people falling into poverty as a result of rising food and fuel prices.

With so much going on, it's hard to remember what happened last week or last month. That's why we wanted to go back through 2022 in pictures - our year, one photograph at a time.

In 2015, the G7 leaders met in Schloss Elmau, Germany, and committed to 'lift 500 million people in developing countries out of hunger and malnutrition by 2030.
