There's a fundraising event to suit everyone, why not read some of our amazing supporter's inspiring stories to find out why you should take part in a Concern challenge.

Marathon

I chose Concern worldwide because of its presences in many countries including Kenya, where I reside. My motivation to run the London marathon was driven by the sheer need to make a change in a vulnerable person's life.

Jael - Marathon runner
I wanted to do some fundraising to coincide with running the London marathon. Specifically I really wanted to raise money for a cause where really modest sums of money go on to make a huge difference.

Triathlon

Concern supporter cycling in the AJ Bell London Triathlon
As someone who is not a natural athlete, the Triathlon was a huge challenge for me. However, knowing that the money I raised was going to such a brilliant charity that really is saving lives all over the world was motivation enough to push through the pain and (slowly) make it to the finish line. Being able to see first-hand where money raised is going is astonishing, and for anyone thinking about fundraising for Concern - just do it!

FAST

Shannyn Doherty – 2021 FAST Youth Ambassador Teacher
The FAST Ambassador Programme was a fabulous opportunity for our pupils to become directly involved in acts of social justice and to stand in solidarity with some of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people.

Mairead Murray – 2021 FASTer
Over many years my friends and family have supported me, as they know what a noble cause the FAST is and the impact Concern makes in saving lives.
