Concern Worldwide is an international humanitarian organisation working alongside communities facing extreme poverty.
Every day, around the world, people are facing extremes. Poverty. Hunger. Disaster. Climate change. Violence. Circumstances that turn ordinary activities into daily struggles for survival. The extreme has become their everyday.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
With your support, we respond with food, shelter and practical help when crisis strikes. Together, we help families build secure livelihoods, access education and healthcare, and adapt to a changing climate. We create lasting change in some of the world's most fragile places, so people have the opportunity to make choices about their lives and shape their own futures.
Because overcoming the extreme isn't just about surviving today. It's about being able to look ahead to tomorrow with hope. Together, we can stop the extreme becoming everyday. And help make a better everyday possible.
What we do
Concern is a dual-mandate organisation, meaning we deliver both emergency response and long-term development programmes.
When disaster or conflict hits, people adapt to survive. But they shouldn't have to do it alone. We respond with life-saving support in emergencies while working alongside communities to address the root causes of extreme poverty and build lasting resilience.
Our role is to help people meet their basic needs, strengthen their livelihoods, access essential services, and shape their own futures.
Where we work
We currently work in 24 of the world's poorest countries to tackle the underlying causes of extreme poverty.
Since our beginnings in 1968, we have supported families and communities in 48 countries around the globe.
