South Sudan has experienced a long history of conflict, displacement and deepening humanitarian needs. We are providing emergency, resilience and long-term development programming.

Over 46.5% of Sudan's population is living below the poverty line and 5.5 million are in need of humanitarian assistance. Concern is implementing emergency relief and longer-term development programmes in West Darfur, along with West and South Kordofan.

We've been operational in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since 1994, responding to emergencies and building resilience through our programmes.

We're helping to build resilience among conflict-affected communities in Central African Republic. 

The Enhanced Responses to Nutrition Emergencies (ERNE) programme has reached more than 1.2 million people in Ethiopia, Niger, Republic of Sudan, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) since it began in June 2020.
